The iLab North American server has been restored and the site is now operational. Data, like submitted reservations and project requests are being migrated back into the site and we can assure you that no data has been lost. Data is being restored, starting with the most recent and as it is being added to the new search server, it will become available on the iLab site. Some items like billing invoices may not be visible on the site at this moment and during this time, users may experience some general slowness when using the site. More information can be found on the iLab Status Page.

Nucleic Acid Core

The nucleic acid extraction core is part of the Biopathology Center and supports clinical trials that require high quality nucleic acids.  A variety of methods are available for nucleic acid extraction from blood, tissue, or buccal swabs.  Quality control to test the integrity of the DNA or RNA is performed at the investigator’s request.  Each trial or project is managed separately after discussion with the investigator regarding optimal collection methods and desired downstream applications.

The laboratory is responsible for DNA and RNA extraction from tissue, bone marrow, and blood in support of COG and GOG protocols. The laboratory serves as a repository for distribution of nucleic acids to investigators for further research.
