Genomics Services Laboratory

Overview of Services

The Genomics Services Laboratory (GSL; previously known as the Biomedical Genomics Core) has extensive expertise in multiple aspects of genomics analysis, including consultation and assistance with experimental design, quality control of starting material (DNA or RNA), library preparation and multiple techniques for next-generation sequencing analysis.

The Steve and Cindy Rasmussen Institute for Genomic Medicine's GSL is a facility within The Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital

GSL provides a wide variety of Next Generation Sequencing services utilizing Illumina NovaSeq6000, MiSeq, MiniSeq, and iSeq systems, and Pacific BioSciences IIe systems for long-read sequencing.  For targeted capture, exome and whole human genome sequencing services, we also provide advanced bioinformatics analysis of the data, turning raw sequencing reads into comprhensively annotated variant lists.

The Steve and Cindy Rasmussen Institute for Genomic Medicine (IGM) is supported by the Nationwide Foundation Pediatric Innovation Fund.

Publications resulting from data generated in IGM Genomic Services Core should cite the Nationwide Foundation Pediatric Innovation Fund.
